Surrey’s community recycling centres to remain open during lockdown, reuse shops to close

Following the recent government announcement of a second national lockdown beginning on 05 November 2020, we can confirm that the Community Recycling Centres in Surrey will remain open and operating with strict social distancing measures in place.

We ask that residents minimise their travels and only visit their recycling centre if it is truly essential, utilising kerbside collections wherever possible.

Throughout the duration of the pandemic, recycling centres may need to close due to changing government guidance or staff shortages due to illness or self-isolation requirements. Please always check Surrey County Council’s website before travelling to the recycling centre to confirm opening hours and materials accepted.

The Revive reuse shops will be closed while the new lockdown measures are in place. We hope to be able to welcome you back in December and will be regularly reviewing the government guidance regarding non-essential retail. Throughout this period, we will continue to save household items for reuse.
